D Wilson Timber and DSM Timber Harvesting Limited are family owned and run businesses established in 1990 based in Easingwold, York. We are experienced in all aspects of timber harvesting, forestry and woodland management.
We buy standing timber and harvest this wood with our modern, well maintained equipment. We supply sawmills, firewood merchants and other customers who wish to buy whole tree log as well as utilising this timber ourselves. We can supply timber in lengths to suit and deliver in bulk quantities - contact us to discuss your requirements. We also offer brash clearance and groundworks as required.
We currently operate a Tigercat LH845C, a JS160 excavator with radio controlled hydraulic winch and a JS130 excavator with TMK300 tree sheer with accumulator . We specialise in harvesting on difficult sites; steep, wet and other challenging terrain, we like to take on challenges that require thinking outside the box. Whether your woodland requires a first, second or third thinning or a complete clear fell we have the experience, skills, equipment and machinery to complete the job in a timely, efficient manner and we pride ourselves on always leaving a clean and tidy site when our work is completed.
Our fleet of forest machinery and vehicles includes a Valmet 890.2 forwarder, a Ponsse Buffalo forwarder, a Valmet 860 forwarder, a Fendt 939 Vario and a Scania V8 R620 with various trailers to meet the needs of timber extraction and transportation. We move our own machinery to site with ease and with the minimum of disruption.
We can offer advice, support and groundworks for your woodland. We want you to maximise the yield from it in a sustainable and economic way therefore giving you benefit and enjoyment from your land. Whether you wish to replant or make available for recreational use DSM Timber Harvesting Limited will make your vision come true.
